Senate unanimously passed two bills regarding Delimitation of Constituencies & Special Economic Zones
ISLAMABAD, March 08 The Senate on Thursday unanimously passed two bills regarding Delimitation of Constituencies and Special Economic Zones.
The first bill “The Delimitation of Constituencies (Amendment) Bill, 2011” was moved by Law Minister Moula Bakhsh Chandio. The bill provides to further amend the Delimitation of Constituencies Act, 1974.
The second bill “The Special Economic Zones Bill, 2012 was moved by Leader of the House Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari. It provides for setting up and operation of Special Economic Zones in the country.
Syed Tahir Hussain Mashhadi on behalf of the Chairman Standing Committee on Interior Muhammad Talha Mahmood presented report of the committee before the House for the period from 16th April, 2011 to 11th January, 2012.
The House also unanimously passed “The Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate” as reported by the Committee on Rules of Procedure and Privileges. The proposed rules were moved by Syed Tahir Hussain Mashhadi.
