PM PAK advises the President to confer Award of Hilal-e-Imtiaz upon Ms. Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy

Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has advised the President to confer the Award of “Hilal-e-Imtiaz” upon Ms. Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, in cognition of her achievements in the field of film making and her contribution to highlighting important social issues in Pakistan through her documentaries, for which she was recently awarded the Oscar; the first time it has been awarded to a Pakistani.
