More perks for former Pakistai parliamentarians

The government has announced more privileges for former parliamentarians.


According to a notification issued by the Federal Law Ministry, now former parliamentarians can use VIP lounges of airports, get official passports and can sit in lobbies of the Senate and National Assembly. It has also been decided to add former parliamentarians in officials tours to abroad.

It is pertinent to mention here that sitting MPs are getting more than Rs 40000 salary per month along with travelling allowance, telephone bills, private secretary, driver stenographer and other facilities.

On the other hand, the nation is facing hike in prices of daily use items while their representatives are enjoying tremendous facilities.
