Planning Division to immediately release the salary of Lady Health Workers

Under the special directive of Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani which he issued from Seoul, a meeting of the Committee was held in the Prime Minister’s House today under the chairmanship of Syed Khursheed Ahmad Shah, Minister for Religious Affairs       and attended by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Begum Shehnaz Wazir Ali, Secretaries of concerned Federal Ministries and representatives of Provincial Governments.

The following decisions were taken by the Committee:-

i)                           Directed the Secretary Planning Division to immediately release the salary of Lady Health Workers.
ii)                       A Committee has  been constituted under the chairpersonship of Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Begum Shehnaz Wazir Ali to address all outstanding issues pertaining to Lady Health Workers. The Committee will include Federal Secretaries of Planning, Finance and Inter Provincial Coordination Divisions and Secretaries of Health and Finance from the Provincial Governments.
iii)                   This Committee will finalize its recommendations within two weeks and submit them to the Prime Minister for his consideration and approval.
iv)                    The Inter Provincial Coordination Division will serve as the Secretariat of the Committee.
