Muhajir Qaumi Movement, ANP agree to make Karachi weapon-free

Islamabad: The President of Muhajir Qaumi Movement Afaq Ahmed has said that the peace of Karachi cannot be restored in befitting manner without making it weapon-free city.
He was addressing a joint press conference alongwith ANP Senators Shahi Syed and Zahid Khan after the meeting with them at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House, here on Sunday.
He told the journalists that during the meeting both Muhajir Qaumi Movement and ANP agreed that coordinated efforts would be made to remove all the weapons from Karachi and for this purpose, all the political parties and NGOs would be taken on board.
He said that entire Karachi has become the hostage in the hand of only one political parties and the only way out is to take all the weapons form each and every citizen without any discrimination
“Soon a delegation of Muhajir Qaumi Movement would visit London to contact the leadership of Mutahida Qaumi Movement”, Afaq added.
On the occasion ANP Sindh President Senator Shahi Syed said that there is not any difference between Urdu and Pushto speaking people in Karachi. He said that as a matter of fact gang war between mafia is being fought there instead of ethnic battle.
“ANP is endeavouring to free Karachi from the clutches of mafia as Altaf Hussain is the mafia don”, he added.
He said that rucksack dead bodies and extortion money is the trademark of those elements which disturbed the peace of Karachi . He told the journalists that he had to face dare consequences on unveiling the facts regarding the city.
He said that it is the demand of ANP that population and house census as well as preparation of voters list might be carried out under supervision of army.
