DG ISI CALLS ON THE PRIME MINISTER
Lt. Gen Zaheer –Ul- Islam, DG ISI, called on Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani after assuming his responsibilities as new DG, at Prime Minister’s House this morning and thanked him for reposing confidence in him for undertaking responsibilities pertaining to the National Security.
The Prime Minister extended his best wishes to the new DG ISI and expressed his confidence that the institution would serve the national interest in the best manner under his leadership.
The Prime Minister said that ISI was an important arm of the Security Establishment assigned to safeguard the national interests in consonance with the aspirations of the people of Pakistan.
