Joint Session: Opposition demands guarantees on sovereignty

he opposition parties in joint session of the parliament demanded guarantees over national sovereignty.

Addressing the parliament session, leader of the opposition Chaudhry Nisar said the opposition will not participate in debate till government satisfy their reservations. "We dont want to pass recommendations on a day and see its violation in FATA on the other day," Nisar said. "We dont want to be a party in third parliament resolution when earlier two yet to be implemented."

Chairman Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS) Senator Raza Rabbani said that the recommendations belonged to the parliamentary committee not the government.
