Lahore: electric bills issued with fuel adjustment charges

LESCO issued electric bills with fuel adjustment charges of August with the permission of NEPRA.


The consumers would have to pay double charges as compared to present bills.

According to LESCO officials, they have been allowed to receive fuel adjustment charges by Rs3.3 per unit.

The court had exempted the consumers who used less than 350 units from these charges in August. So, they would pay for electricity they utilized while the consumers who used 350 units would have to use about Rs 1300 as arrears.

LESCO officials are of the view that they are receiving the fuel adjustment charges in accordance with the procedure of NEPRA and court.
