Rahdari and tinted glass vehicles banned in Balochistan

 Ministry of Interior will issue instructions within three days to all the law enforcement agencies not to issue any “Rahdari” and presently issued such “Rahdaris” stand ceased to exist forthwith. This was decided in a high level meeting at PM’s House here today which was chaired by Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and attended by Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani, Federal Ministers of Interior, Finance, Law and Justice, Information, Postal Services, Food Security, Science and Technology, Advisor on Human Rights, Provincial Minister for Finance, Muhammad Asim Kurd, Parliamentarians from Balochistan and senior government officials.
The Prime Minister will undertake a two days visit to Balochistan from tomorrow where he will meet a cross section of society.
It was also decided in the meeting that no one shall be allowed to drive vehicles with tinted glasses or with glazed papers.
The meeting decided that Non Custom Paid (NCP) vehicles shall not be allowed to ply on the roads and the Law Enforcement Agencies have been authorized to seize such vehicles immediately and proceed against the delinquents in accordance with the law.
The meeting also decided that temporary permission already granted to NCP vehicles also stand cancelled with immediate effect.
The Prime Minister directed that Interior Minister and Chief Minister of Balochistan will meet at regular intervals to review law and orders situation in Balochistan especially in Quetta and take necessary action for improving the same.
The Prime Minister directed the Ministry of Interior to assess the logistic requirements in consultation with Chief Minister to enhance the capacity and capability of Law Enforcement Agencies for curbing the crime rate.
The Prime Minister further directed Ministry of Law to formulate necessary laws with respect to missing persons and make necessary amendments in the Anti Terrorism Law so as to counter terrorism in the country.
 The Prime Minister directed that all the Law Enforcement Agencies to must remain extra-ordinary vigilant of inimical forces which are creating disturbance in Balochistan.
The Chief Minister Balochistan was also advised to take special measures to ensure well coordinated efforts of all LEAs of both Federation and the Province operating in Balochistan to overcome the menace of terrorism, missing persons, kidnapping for ransom and other criminal activities.
