NAYYER BOKHARI TO REPRESENT PAKISTAN IN QUEEN’S DIAMOND JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS


Islamabad, 4th June, 2012
Chairman Senate Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari has left for United Kingdom to participate on behalf of Prime Minister of Pakistan in the diamond Jubilee Celebrations of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to mark the sixty years of her reign.
The Chairman Senate will participate in a service of thanksgiving at St. Paul’s Cathedral besides addressing the opening session of diamond Jubilee commonwealth economic forum on the subject of “Shaping Capitalism for global prosperity and sustainable growth”. He will also represent Pakistan in different other sessions of the forum.
In line with the austerity measures adopted by the government, the Chairman Senate has decided not to use the VIP lounge at Heathrow Airport London, charges for which are 500 pounds one way. Moreover, he decided to travel by PIA which is the national flag carrier.
