UNITY AMONG UMMAH IS THE MULTI-FACETED SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEMS AND CHALLENGES FACED BY MUSLIMS- NAYYER BOKHARI





 Islamabad: 25th April, 2012        Chairman Senate, Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari has said that unity among the Ummah is a durable solution to the problems faced by Muslim Countries at regional as well as global level. The intelligensia of the Muslim states would have to cooperate with each other for the true projection of Islamic Teachings of love, peace and tranquility. He was expressing these views while talking to a five member delegation led by H.E. Mr. Masoud Mohamed Al-Ameri, the President of the Supreme Judiciary Council and the Chief Justice of the Court of Cassation State of Qatar at Parliament House here today.

 The Chairman Senate appreciated the commendable gesture of goodwill shown by the Chief Justice of Qatar by paying a visit to Pakistan and especially Upper House (Senate). Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari observed that the exchange of delegations from Parliament, legal fraternity and judiciary would further strengthen the brotherly relationship between Pakistan and Qatar. The Chairman Senate informed the visiting delegation about the judicial paraphernalia working in Pakistan.  He also mentioned that our laws are based on the true injunctions of Islam.

The Chairman Senate informed the visiting delegation about the role of Upper House (Senate) in the legislative business. He mentioned that in Upper House, all the federating units have equal representation while in the Lower House the representation is on the basis of population and women and minorities are also given the representation at both the Houses.  He also observed that in the present democratic setup, the role of the Upper House (Senate) in the legislative business has increased manifold.

H.E. Mr. Masoud Mohamed Al-Ameri thanked the Chairman Senate for his hospitality to invite them to visit Senate and said that we witnessed freedom of expression and opinion at every level particularly Judiciary, Parliament and Media in Pakistan. He said that similarities exist between judiciary of the both the countries as our background and culture have Islamic roots. He stressed upon the need for frequent exchange of delegation of Judiciary for learning from each other’s experience and enhancing cooperation. He said that our visit to Pakistan is first step towards this end.  

While responding Chairman Senate, Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari said that frequent exchange of delegations is a fruitful initiative and it must continue for further strengthening our bilateral relations leading to enhanced cooperation in all areas of socio-economic development, cultural exchanges and trade as well.
