President approves confirmation of 12Judges of High Courst

Also approves confirmation 05 Judges of Lahore High Cour,t 3Judges of High Court of Balochistan  and extension of tenure of 04 Additional Judges of LHC for a period of one year.
 Islamabad, 10 May 2012:
President Asif Ali Zardari today has approved the nomination of the following Judges of High Court of Balochistan;
Mr. Justice Abdul Qadir Mengal
Mr. Justice Naeem Akhter Afghan
Mr. Justice Muhammad Hashim Khan Kakar
 The summary received by the President  from the Prime Minister in this regard said that after due consideration by the Judicial Commission of Pakistan and later by the Parliamentary Committee on the Appointment of Judges in the Superior Courts, the above nominations were forwarded to the Prime Minister, who in turn advised the President to accord his approval to these nominations.  Accordingly, the President acting upon the advice of Prime Minister accorded his approval today.

The President has also approved the confirmation, as Judges of Lahore High Court, the nominations of the following;
Mr. Justice Altaf Ibrahim Qureshi
Mr. Justice abdus Sattar Asghar,
Mr. Justice Mehmood Maqbool Bajwa,
Mr. Justice Ameen-ud-Din Khan
Mr. Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti


The tenure of Mr. Justice Ch. Muhammad Younas, Mr. Justice Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah, Mr. Justice Syed Muhammad Kazim Raza Shamsi and Mr. Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmed Khan has also been extended for a period of one year by the President as per the advice of the Prime Minister.
These nominations relating to Lahore High Court were also forwarded through the Prime Minister to the President by the Parliamentary Committee on Judges Appointment in the Superior Courts after due consideration by the Judicial Commission, in accordance with the procedure laid down in the constitution.
