Colourful Tablus, performances on national songs, folk songs and national songs presented
Islamabad: May 04, 2012 Bharat Boys and Girls Scouts visited Islamabad College for Girls (IMCG),
F-10/2, Islamabad today. A warm welcome given by the students of College. Principal IMCG F-10/2 and Chairperson Girls Guide Pakistan Ms. Naveed Hameed received the guests. Director General Mrs. Shaheen Khan, Director Schools Mr. Tariq Masood and others high officials of Directorate of Education and large numbers of students, teachers, girl guides and scouts from Pakistan and India were present on this occasion.
Colourful Tablus, performances on national songs, folk songs and national songs were presented by the Pakistani and Indian students under the slogan of Messenger of Peace.
Ms. Naveed Hameed Principal IMCG, F-10/2 Islamabad in her welcome address has said that everyone here knows that we are bound by the geography in the similar land, air and water to live together. She underlined the facts that the so called boarders cannot split our hearts as our roots are one, rooted deeper in this land than the height of the barbed fences between the two neighbouring countries, adding that these roots are too deep and unable to be separated by this artificial, in genuine and enforced borderline.
She shared her views about the history of the both countries and stressed that it is our duty to focus on the long united history.
Ms. Geeta Rawat Indian Girls Guide and Scouts Chairperson have expressed their views that we are very happy for given us warm welcome from your side which will be remembered in our heats. She said that I personally believe that we have to focus on the large similarities instead of focusing on almost no differences.
She thanked the Government of Pakistan and all audience for warm welcome and stressed on promotion and development of love, peace, harmony and friendship between the two countries.
At the end shields and gifts were presented to the guests by the DG Schools Ms. Shaheen Khan and Principal IMCG, F-10/2, Islamabad Ms. Naveed Hameed.
