Federal Cabinet in principle approved to increase the seats for non-muslims in Assemblies Govt decides no load shedding at Taraveeh‚ Sehar and Iftar timings during Ramazan.

Meeting of Federal Cabinet under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf at PM’s Secretariat  on Wedneday.

The Cabinet decided to refer the matter regarding running of small vehicles on hydrogen extracted from water to the Ministry of Science & Technology.  The matter was brought to the notice of the Cabinet by the Minister for Religious Affairs who himself witnessed the demonstration in Sukkur.

The Cabinet in principle approved to increase the seats for non-muslims in Assemblies proportionate to their population.  The Cabinet constituted a Committee comprising of Minister for Law, Minister for Interfaith Harmony and Minister for Religious Affairs to submit a report in this regard in next Cabinet meeting.

 Meeting of Federal Cabinet has started under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf at PM’s Secretariat today.

Energy situation in the country is being discussed in the Cabinet. Secretary Water & Power is apprising the Cabinet about the improvement in power generation during the last 15 days.
 
   The federal cabinet has decided that load shedding will be uniformly carried out in all provinces.

In the meeting, it was told by the Ministry of Water and Power that the power production was increased while the shortfall further reduced to 3,500 MW.

The meeting decided that there would be no load shedding at Taraveeh‚ Sehar and Iftar timings during Ramazan.
