60TH ANNIVERSARY OF EGYPTIAN REVOLUTION CELEBRATIONS IN ISLAMABAD

Chairman Senate Syed Nayyar Hussain Bokhari has emphasized the need for further strengthening multi-faceted bilateral relations between Egypt and Pakistan. He said, “We highly value our relationship with Egypt which are based on shared religion, culture, history and commonality of views between two brotherly nations”. He was expressing these views at an Iftar Reception hosted by the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Egyptian Revolution.

The Chairman while representing President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari conveyed his heartiest felicitation to Egyptian leadership and people on this auspicious occasion. Bokhari said, “I also wish to congratulate you on the successful presidential election which is a milestone in the ongoing political transition in Egypt”.

The Chairman while talking about the great potential that exists between the two countries for enhancing cooperation in various fields stressed the need for encouraging people to people contacts and exchange of delegations at various levels. ‘We must try to fully exploit our multi-faceted relationship’, he reiterated.  Bokhari said that we are desirous of having Parliamentary exchanges with Egypt once the political transition is complete and the Parliament is fully functional.

The Chairman Senate said that bilateral trade between our two countries has significantly improved and there is a vast potential to increase it further.

At the end, The Chairman Senate said, “We wish great success, peace, progress and prosperity for the people of Egypt”.
