CHAIRMAN SENATE OF PAKISTAN MEETS IRANIAN PRESIDENT

 President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that the borders regions between Iran and Pakistan should be the most active ones in terms of trade and commercial transactions. President Ahmadinejad made the remarks in a meeting with the Chairman Senate Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari in Tehran.


                     IRANIAN      President added: “The geographical borders between Iran and Pakistan are only due to the geopolitical divisions notwithstanding the fact that the people of Iran and Pakistan have numerous cultural commonalities emanating from the same source and origin." He emphasized on need for making use from the existing potentials for cooperation between Iran and Pakistan for meeting the needs of both countries.  President Ahmadinejad referring to the fact that there is currently no obstacle, restriction and negative point hindering improvement of relations between Tehran and Islamabad, pointed out that Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan have common interests.President expressed satisfaction with the new agreements reached between Tehran and Islamabad.

             “In addition to improving political and economic relations, the conditions should be set for facilitating the exchange of visits between the people of Iran and Pakistan because expansion of such ties in addition to establishment and enhancement of economic ties will immensely influence the further proximity between the Iranian and Pakistani nations,” President Ahmadinejad noted.

Visiting Pakistani Chairman of Senate Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari for his part said that Pakistan and Iran as two brother and Muslim countries have long-standing and historic relations. “Further interaction between Iranian and Pakistani nations can help enhance their bilateral relations,” Bokhari added.  Chairman Senate noted Iran and Pakistan should further strengthen their bilateral economic and trade ties.  “Both Iran and Pakistan have many common stances in many international organizations and institutions while Iran as a role-player in the Middle East region greatly influences the international and regional issues,” Bokhari added. While emphasizing the role of cooperation between Iran and Pakistan for other regional countries, Nayyer Bokhari  called for maximum cooperation between Iran and Pakistan.
