An Australian Parliamentary Delegation led by Senator John Hogg, President of the Australian Senate arrived this evening on a 6-days visit to Pakistan. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Senator Osman Saifullah Khan, Senator- in-waiting at Benazir International Airport, Islamabad. Secretary Senate Iftekharullah Babar and Senior Officers of the Senate were also present on the occasion. It is pertinent to mention here that the invitation was earlier extended by Chairman Senate Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari.
During this visit, the Parliamentary Delegation will hold meetings with Prime Minister, Chairman Senate, Chief Election Commissioner, Chief Minister Punjab, Governor Punjab and Political Leadership of the Country besides having interaction with members of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry and members of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan etc.
Chairman Senate Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari will also host a reception in honour of the Australian Parliamentary Delegation.
