Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has extended his warm felicitations to US President Barack H. Obama on his assumption of the office of President.
In his message to the US President, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan has always placed the high premium on its relations with the United States. He said that they consider a strong and abiding relationship with the United States to be in the mutual benefit for their peoples. At the regional and global levels, they share the same strategic objectives of peace, prosperity and security, the Prime Minister said.
The Prime Minister said that he was looking forward to continue working with him and members of his administration in second term to add further substance and value to this very important and beneficial relationship. He said that they were particularly keen to deepen trade, economic and scientific collaboration with the US and such broad-based cooperation will indeed generate mutual goodwill and further the shared interests of their two countries.
The Prime Minister wished US President success and continued progress and prosperity of the American people.
