 Local Government Polls came under discussion

Islamabad, the 6^th September, 2012.-    The Election Commission met here today under the Chairmanship of Hon’ble Chief Election Commissioner, Mr. Justice (R) Fakhruddin G. Ebrahim. Members of the ECP, Provincial Election Commissioners, Chairman NADRA, Commissioner Pakistan Census Organization, Chairman Pakistan Printing Corporation also attended the meeting.

2-         Matters pertaining to preparation for General as well as Local Government Polls came under discussion in the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Election Commissioner said all possible efforts will be made to hold free, fair and transparent elections.

3-         Secretary Election Commission said final electoral rolls were open to changes and errors in them can be removed till announcement of the election schedule. The meeting will continue tomorrow and the details will be shared with the media.
